Justin Bieber‘s mother Pattie Mallette recently appeared on ‘Ellen’ and ‘TODAY,’ revealing that her ex/the Biebs’ dad, Jeremy, has always been in the singer’s life and that she was sexually abused at a young age. She spoke about her early pregnancy with Justin and how he’s been her biggest blessing in life.
First on ‘Ellen,’ Mallette wanted to clear up the idea that Jeremy Bieber was an absentee dad. She said that her relationship with him was toxic, since they were teenagers and things were constantly “on again and off again” for them. But she revealed, “As we got older, we both grew. [Justin's] dad has been around since he was a baby. Some people think he came along when he became famous. That’s not true. His dad has always been there. He’s a good dad.”
Ellen also probed Mallette about Justin’s girlfriend, Selena Gomez, asking, “Do you adore her?,” to which Mama Biebs was quick to reply, ”How can you not like her? She is so sweet. She is good for him and they are great together.”
Michael Clarke Duncan, the hulking, prolific character actor whose dozens of films included an Oscar-nominated performance as a death row inmate in “The Green Mile” and such other box office hits as “Armageddon,” ”Planet of the Apes” and “Kung Fu Panda,” has died at age 54, according to a representative for his family.
Duncan “suffered a myocardial infarction on July 13 and never fully recovered,” a written statement from Joy Fehily said.
“Clarke died Monday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he was being treated for a heart attack”.
According to TMZ, it was Duncan’s girlfriend Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, a reality star and former contestant on “The Apprentice,” who had acted quickly and provided lifesaving efforts when he had the heart attack.
Most recently he was on the TV series, “The Finder,” on the Fox network.
His co-star Mercedes Masohn tweeted: “Today is a sad day. Michael Clark Duncan passed away this morning. Known for his moving performance in The Green Mile. RIP MCD. You’ll b missed.”
According to Entertainment Weekly, the TV series was canceled in May.
Born in Chicago in 1957, Duncan was raised by a single mother whose resistance to his playing football led to his deciding he wanted to become an actor. But when his mother became ill, he dropped out of college, Alcorn State University, and worked as a ditch digger and bouncer to support her. By his mid-20s, he was in Los Angeles, where he looked for acting parts and became a bodyguard for Will Smith, Jamie Foxx and other stars. The murder of rapper Notorious B.I.G., for whom Duncan had been hired to protect before switching assignments, led him to quit his job and pursue acting full-time.

If Eddie Murphy has his way about it, we will soon be seeing a “Beverly Hills Cop” TV show.
This isn’t the first we’ve heard about the planned TV show, but it is the first time the series has seemed like it could actually become a reality. Vulture has learned that Murphy has teamed up with “The Shield” creator Shawn Ryan to develop the “Beverly Hills Cop” series pitch, and that the duo have partnered with Sony Pictures Television to adapt the story to the small screen. Murphy would act as executive producer and also play an on-camera role. That team started pitching the “hour-long crime procedural” to broadcast networks yesterday.
“Beverly Hill Cops” is a franchise that’s very important to Murphy, so it’s no surprise that he’s trying to resurrect it in a way that stays faithful to the overall story. Read on to find out some details about the show’s planned plot.
Murphy teased in an interview with Rolling Stone last year that a “Beverly Hills Cop” series could follow the adventures of Axel Foley’s son.
“What I’m trying to do now is produce a TV show starring Axel Foley’s son, and Axel is the chief of police now in Detroit,” he said. “I’d do the pilot, show up here and there. None of the movie scripts were right; it was trying to force the premise. If you have to force something, you shouldn’t be doing it. It was always a rehash of the old thing. It was always wrong.” No word if that has changed now, but we do know that the plan is to have it be a “buddy cop show.”
